Notebook Layout for Intraday Bias Notes
Scattered sticky notes and half-filled spreadsheets slow you down before the open. Our printed workbook uses one landscape page divided into four panels — enough structure to be thorough, enough space to stay legible under time pressure.
Top left: Session context
Date, instrument, prior close position, gap classification, and one headline worth watching. Five lines maximum. If you need more room for news, you are over-reading.
Top right: Level map
A small chart sketch or printed mini-chart with levels marked in three colours: prior day structure (black), overnight extremes (blue), opening-range projections (green). Participants who prefer digital charts paste a screenshot here instead.
Bottom left: Bias statement
One primary sentence and one alternate if the gap fills or fails. Handwritten, not typed — the act of writing slows impulsive reads.
Bottom right: Contingencies and notes
Two if/then lines plus a blank strip for post-open notes. After the first hour, traders fill this strip with what actually happened versus what they expected. Those notes feed into the next morning's context panel.
Workshop attendees receive a pad of these pages. Private review clients can download the template when they book a session.
